Season Rankings and Statistics

Below are the official C'Mon Baby! League Rankings. Points are earned based on a few simple metrics: Games Played, Opponents Survived, Opponents Busted, Placement Points, and bonus points awarded for special play or winning in a spectacular way.

Players earn a point just for showing up, this is done to encourage participation and to weight the scores slightly for those who play regularly. In reviewing the standings since 2011 it is clear that simply showing up and playing gives a player a distinct advantage in ranking over someone who plays once or twice in a season.

One point is earned for every opponent faced and survived. If you face 7 opponents in a game (8 total players) and place 4th, you've just earned 4 points (having survived players 5, 6, 7, and 8).

Two points are earned for every player busted, this is to encourage taking chances when opportunities come up to knock people out. This is a fast way for players to earn points, and the standings are filled with examples of people taking advantage of this. Placing 4th may not net you any Placement Points, but having knocked out 4 opponents in a game can keep you alive in the standings.

Points are awarded based on surviving past the bubble and placing in the money. Placement Points are variable depending on the size of the table, see the Rules page for details.

The Legendary Hands bonus is an extra way to earn points in a game. For hands that end in a showdown, extra points are awarded for showing a Full House or better. Points are also awarded to a winning showdown playing 7/2. See the Rules page for details.

In the event a single player manages to knock every other opponent out and thus collect all of the bounties at the table, that player earns the Boba Fett bonus. Points are awarded based on the number of players at the table.

In standard seasons where there are different varieties of poker played, the Crown bonus is awarded to any player that successfully takes first place in three or more varieties as explained on the Rules page.

At the end of the season, all those who ranked in the top 8 are eligible to play in the Season Championship in January. NOTE: In the event of a dead even tie for a position, both players will be considered to hold that rank, thus making it possible for more than 8 players to hold a top 8 ranking. A tiebreaker will need to occur as only 8 can sit at the Champions table. The Championship will not affect the league rankings at all and is not considered part of the regular season. Champion events are Winner-Take-All, and the winner will be forever remembered in song; all will bow down before their might and superiority.

In the event of a tie in terms of overall points, individual stats will be used as a tie-breaker in this order: Placement Points, Opponents Busted, then Opponents Survived. If every stat is identical between two players they shall be considered tied for the position. Games Played and Legendary Hands stats will not be considered for tie-breakers.
